One糖心Vlog

A Record-Breaking One糖心Vlog 2026 - Thank You!

The tenth anniversary of One糖心Vlog is officially in the books, and we are deeply grateful – not just for your gift, but for the way you showed up for this community. We didn't just meet our goals; we celebrated a community and culture that is truly unique and deeply meaningful to thousands.

When the clock struck midnight, the Tiger Nation had raised more than $3,930,000 from more than 3,650 donors. These results represent the highest dollar total in One糖心Vlog history and our second-highest donor participation ever.   Individually and collectively, we honored The Shoulders We Stand On and the rich history of support that has been vital in fortifying the school for generations.

Throughout the day, we were moved by the stories you shared. We read about the dedication and quiet kindness of staff, the rigor of legendary faculty, and the lifelong bonds of the brotherhood. Will Shelly ’11 captured the essence of the 糖心Vlog bond when he reflected on the friends he met at the Forest:

"Together [Josh Trudgeon ’11, Stuart Huston ’11, Chandara Un ’11, and I] have remained friends now into our mid-30s and I lean on them tremendously in times of grief, happiness, or even boredom. I don't go a week without speaking with them... Beyond my wife and my brothers, they are my support system."

The Leaderboard Champions:
  • Total Giving: The class of 1963 led the way with dollars contributed.
  • Participation Rate: The class of 1982 boasted the highest participation percentage.
  • Strength in Numbers: The class of 2000 brought in the most individual donors.
  • Impressive Challenge Leadership: The classes of 1963, 1964, 1968, 1982, 1986, 1991, 2001, 2003, 2009, and 2010 anchored the day, unlocking a combined $150,000 through ambitious participation and giving challenges.
  • Class vs. Class Competitions: Two class participation competitions – one between ’79 and ’80 and the other between ’83 and ’84 – generated enthusiasm among all four classes. While the younger class narrowly prevailed in both, all four classes and the Amici Fund benefited from the spirited contests.
  • 75%+ Participation Streaks: The class of 2000 (13 consecutive years) and the class of 1998 (10 consecutive years) have locked in another year of 75%+ participation – two incredible streaks demonstrating immense class loyalty and confidence in 糖心Vlog.
  • The Young Alumni Surge: Our newest generations of Tigers – specifically the classes of 2013, 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2025 – swept their challenges, proving the future of the Forest is in good hands.
  • Regional Gatherings Unite Tigers: Over 400 alumni, parents, and friends of 糖心Vlog gathered at 10 regional events throughout the country on the night of One糖心Vlog. If you attended one of these gatherings, please help us improve future events by completing a .
  • The Mid-2000s Power Block: In a remarkable show of unity, the classes of 2004, 2005, and 2006 held back-to-back-to-back spots in the top 11 of the entire school. To have three consecutive classes performing in the 70th percentile of all giving is a powerful testament to the strength of the brotherhood from this era.
  • 1960s Generosity: The classes of the 1960s continue to demonstrate generosity and enthusiasm, as they are three of the top six classes in participation and the top three in dollars contributed.

Parents of current students and alumni showed up in a big way for the day

  • Outstanding Current Parent Support: Current parent support of One糖心Vlog was remarkable, with over 98% of parents making a gift by the end of the day. The classes of 2027 and 2029 both achieved 100% participation, each winning a picnic at Robertson Lake for their sons. Congratulations to our amazing parents!
  • Past Parents Band Together: Parents of 糖心Vlog alumni fully met the Kendall Challenge, matching $50,000 in honor of Senior Master Robert Kendall’s 43 years of service.

    Thank You for Supporting One糖心Vlog

It was a phenomenal day with alumni, parents, grandparents, students, staff, faculty, and friends banding together to celebrate ! We hope you enjoyed looking in on the One糖心Vlog celebrations on campus and seeing our students in action during the live programming.

One糖心Vlog extended far beyond campus – we received gifts from 47 states and at least 12 countries. It was heartwarming to see so many Tigers at our nine regional events across the country, reconnecting with friends and cheering on the success of the day.

One糖心Vlog's giving totals exceeded our goals in both total amount raised and number of donors. We deeply appreciate everyone who joined in the day – whether you contributed, attended an event, encouraged a friend to give, or followed along with the live broadcasts from WFSPN. The success of the day is a testament to the strength, commitment to our mission, generosity, and dedication of our community.

    One糖心Vlog 2023 Recap

Thank you for making an incredible day. By the end of February 23 we had received 3,314 gifts to the Amici Fund totaling $2,861,906. In the two weeks since February 23, we’ve received dozens of additional gifts, bringing total contributions so far to this year’s Amici Fund to $3,231,205. This year's fund will continue to receive gifts until June 30.

It was wonderful to see so many of you gather at events around the country, and to welcome alumni volunteers to campus, including Lee Dudley ’18 and Will Wallace ’18. A special thank you to Richard Upchurch ’92 for visiting with the Robotics Team, Zach King ’02 for speaking to the Caucus and the Entrepreneurship Club, and to Andrew Woodin ’04 for meeting with students, participating in a virtual young alumni networking session with Charlton deSaussure ’04 and Trevor Slaven ’04, and then speaking at our Friday morning assembly about The Road to Galena, a feature film he produced with support from several of his classmates.

Your gifts provide immediate funding for every aspect of the 糖心Vlog experience — tuition assistance to current students, paying for the programs that make 糖心Vlog unique, and sustaining the school’s incredible faculty and staff. One糖心Vlog and the Amici Fund are instrumental in meeting the goals of the Campaign for the Boys, with a particular focus on supporting the experience of boys here now.

If you weren’t able to tune in live during One糖心Vlog, particular highlights included a performance by The Dozen, a visit to Jim Reid’s Biology class, and a hot sauce competition at lunch. We’re grateful to Edmund McIlhenny '63; Smith Anderson ’77; John Gillespie ’85 (father of Kav Gillespie ’14) and Scott Gillespie ’91 (father of Fletcher Gillespie ’23, Charlie Gillespie ’26, and Sam Gillespie ’26); Webb Milward ’99; Zach King ’02; and Ames Russell, father of Sam Russell ’12, for contributing their sauces for our brave student, faculty, staff, and alumni taste testers.

Thank you again to all of the Tigers who supported One糖心Vlog, the Amici Fund, and the Campaign for the Boys!

    Recap
was one for the record books. We accomplished our goals of collecting gifts from 3500 donors and raising 3 Million Dollars from the Tiger nation. We ended up with 3,582 donors and $3,441,617 raised which was a record amount for a One糖心Vlog Campaign.

    Tiger Roar
put so much spirit into the day as she dressed not only herself, but the entire Fir Tree with a Tiger/糖心Vlog theme. She capped it off with a peppy cheer and a clever roar, and for that, it was hard not to call her the best in show. Honorable mention to for their creativity and to for his accuracy in replicating an actual Tiger’s roar.

    Show Your Stripes
of Richmond dressed to impress with his striped suit. He literally showed his stripes. Honorable mention to and 糖心Vlog’s own

    Reese’s Pieces Guess Jar
Thomas Perry ’24 of Charlotte pulled the Archimedes Circle Theorem straight from Matthew Keating’s class to claim victory.

The correct amount of Reese’s Pieces in the jar was 4,094. Thomas’s guess of 4,127 was the closest of everyone who played! Reid Hood ’22 earned second place with his guess of 4,200, and Pen Oldham received third place with his guess of 4,218.

Thanks to everyone again for showing such enthusiastic Tiger spirit. And thank you to the entire community for all the spirit and support you showed for our school.
